Packaging design developed for production

Packaging concepts, master artwork and SKU adaptations for new products and established ranges. We carry the selected design through to approved artwork on a production dieline.

The studio's minimum fee for an individual order is RUB 20,000. Packaging projects are quoted against an agreed scope. Structural development, manufacturing and payment terms are agreed separately.

What we can take on

Creative concept

We establish the composition, colour palette, typography and role of imagery. The product category, positioning and buying context inform the design. We show how the concept works across the pack and which information should attract attention first.

Master artwork

We develop the selected concept into a complete master design. Product names, approved claims, ingredients and other supplied information are organised into a clear hierarchy. Front, side and back panels form a consistent foundation for future adaptations.

Range and SKU adaptations

We extend the design across flavours, sizes, formulations and formats. Shared brand elements and clear rules for differentiation keep the range coherent. Each SKU is scoped individually: a text update, a new pack size and a different layout require different levels of work.

Dielines and print preparation

We apply the artwork to an approved dieline and prepare files to the chosen manufacturer's specifications. Folds, glue areas, cuts, technical margins and print requirements are considered during layout. The final package is checked before handover.

What you receive

  • An approved graphic concept with a defined approach to composition, colour and typography.
  • Master packaging artwork with approved copy and a clear information hierarchy across all panels.
  • A set of adaptations covering the agreed SKUs and packaging formats.
  • Print files prepared to the manufacturer's specifications. Editable files and handover formats are defined in the brief.

How we work

01. Establish the brief

We review the product, brand guidelines, copy, SKU list and technical documents. We discuss where the product will be sold and its competitive context. If a manufacturer has yet to be selected, we identify which specifications must be confirmed before final artwork.

02. Develop the concept

We present the agreed number of design directions and explain the decisions behind them. The review covers brand recognition, product naming, legibility and range differentiation. Consolidated feedback establishes the direction for development.

03. Build the artwork set

We refine the master design and create the agreed adaptations. Copy, language versions and product references are checked against the SKU list. The client approves mandatory product information and claims before the artwork is released for print.

04. Prepare the production handover

We check the artwork against the agreed technical requirements and assemble the files. Materials, print methods and finishes are confirmed with the manufacturer before release. Prototypes, colour proofs and manufacturing can be included under a separately agreed scope.

Questions before we start

How much does packaging design cost?

The fee depends on the number of concepts, SKUs, formats and languages, as well as the quality and completeness of the source materials. Illustration, image editing and print preparation also affect the scope. The studio's minimum individual order is RUB 20,000; the fee for the complete packaging project is set out in a proposal after we review the brief.

What do you need to prepare a quote?

Please send a product overview, SKU list, packaging dimensions or a sample, brand guidelines and any available copy. If you have selected a manufacturer, include their specifications and dieline. Sales channels, your target launch date and elements of the current design that should be retained help us define the work.

Can you adapt existing packaging?

Yes. We can work with an established visual system and approved source files to change formats, extend a range or apply approved copy in another language. We review file editability and asset completeness before quoting. Translation and specialist review of product terminology are scoped separately.

Is structural packaging development included?

Structural development and graphic design are separate workstreams. For an existing structure, we use the manufacturer's approved dieline. For a new structure, we establish product dimensions and weight, materials and intended use. Development, prototyping and sample checks require a separate agreement.

Will we receive artwork ready for print?

Yes, when print preparation is included in the agreed scope. We need the manufacturer's current specifications and an approved dieline. Final artwork is released after design and copy approval. If the manufacturer changes after preparation, any required file adjustments are assessed separately.

Do you work with international brands?

Yes. We work with clients in Russia and internationally, creating packaging and adapting approved designs for different markets. Languages, labelling content, the approval process and payment terms are agreed before work begins. The client confirms that product information meets the requirements of the target market.
