The brief
Create a shared retail display concept for Harman Kardon and JBL audio products. The challenge was to present both ranges together while keeping their identities distinct and making the division between the two sections clear.
Retail display design · 3D visualisation
Two audio brands in one retail setting. We developed display concepts that share a structure while giving each product range a distinct visual identity.
Create a shared retail display concept for Harman Kardon and JBL audio products. The challenge was to present both ranges together while keeping their identities distinct and making the division between the two sections clear.
We developed two architectural concepts and explored alternative finishes in 3D. Wood textures and a restrained palette define the Harman Kardon section. Illuminated lines, brand colour and a larger logo element distinguish JBL. Shared proportions, shelf levels and lighting connect the two.
The first concept uses a rounded frame to unite the display. Light strips continue across both sections and change colour on the JBL side. We explored light and dark back panels for JBL, keeping the wood surface consistent in the Harman Kardon section.
The second concept uses straight lines and a shared canopy with spotlights. At the boundary between the brands, we explored an illuminated decorative column with a waterfall effect and a more open arrangement with a plant. These alternatives change the relationship between the two sections without changing the overall display system.

Annotated visualisations identify the proposed finishes, illuminated logos, shelf lighting and decorative elements. The column concept combines transparent plastic, artificial planting and light to suggest a waterfall. These details explain the design intent for the next stage of development.

Two retail display concepts, each explored through colour, finish and central-element variations. The 3D visualisations bring together the structure, audio product placement, branding and lighting so that the alternatives can be compared before further development.
This case presents design concepts and 3D visualisations of the proposed equipment.
